2012 Meeting Schedule

The club meets the last Wednesday of the months below (unless otherwise noted) at the Viles Arboretum, 153 Hospital Street, in Augusta. All meetings begin promptly at 7:00 p.m., are open to the public, and are free. Please join us.

January 25. Speaker: Bob Duchesne, “Everything you wanted to know about birding Maine. The founder of the Maine Birding Trail (and a key environmental legislator) tells all.”

February 29. Speaker: Colby College ornithologist, Herb Wilson, talking about his work on the banding and re-capture of Purple Finches.

March 28. Speaker: L.C. Bates Museum director, Deb Staber, talking about avian and other natural history specimens in the museum's collections.

April 25. Speaker: Louis Bevier, sharing Tales from a Lifetime of Birding

December 6. Planning meeting to prepare for the 2012 Augusta Christmas Bird Count.

December 15. Day-long Augusta circle Christmas Bird Count.
